Haven't done one of Kazan or Laura's sketches for ages, so it was great fun to join in again.
Loved Kazan's sketch this week - how do they keep coming up with such blinking good ideas??!
Anyway, here is my take using some very old papers, a purple onion stamp for the trunk, and some fake stitching around the edge:
Thanks for looking!

A challenge for my cousin!
Thanks for all your lovely comments, I honestly didn't think anyone would even remember me lol!
I have a fab cousin called Sophie, who is 14 and I've converted her into loving card making and scrapbooking. She makes some really fab creations, although of course, it's a real chore for me having to buy her new papers, ribbons etc for her birthdays and Christmas - NOT!
Anyway, I made up this little poem and sent her a bag of bits to make a card using the same bits I'd made her one with... (to be read with your best Pam Ayres voice, after all, that's who Sue & Steph would have you believe I flipping sound like....)
Sophie my darling chick-a-dee
Here’s a challenge for you from me!
I promise you that it’s not too hard
You just need to make me a fabby card!
I’ve sent you lots of gorgeous bits
You’ll need some glue and your wits!
Design me a card just using all that I’ve sent
These rules are final, NOT allowed to be bent!
You can use any equipment like ink, scissors and a punch
But not any items, after all, there’s a credit crunch!
When you’ve finished, write a message for me inside
A joke, a poem, or something nice, you decide!
Seal the envelope and pop in the post
It’ll cost you about 52p at the most!
As soon as I receive it, I’ll send right back to you
One I’ve already made, with the same stuff, for you to view!
Will they be completely different, or the same?
Who knows? That’s the point of the game!
So get your scissors and don’t be slow
Get ready, set, and GO SOPHIE, GO!!!!!
So I made mine:
And today I received hers:
Am slightly miffed that I prefer hers lol!! How fab is she? I'm slightly biased but I think she has a great talent.
And a LO I from from a page map from Sketch This:
Am I the only one who can't wait for brighter days so that my photo's don't look quite so crappy??

I'm back!!!! (title subject to copyright by Sue....)
Oh. My. Golly. Gosh. Has it really been over 5 months since I last blogged??!!
Well tons has happened, I got abducted by aliens, but after months of intensive probing they decided my brain really was not going to further their aim of taking over the World, so they dropped me off at the end of the street and here I am.
I wish.
The reality is I've spent months and months covered in rubble and dust as Matt and his brother built a extension along the back of our house. After knocking down walls, levelling my subsiding floor and completely re-doing my kitchen, life here is nearly back to normal. And I am now the VERY proud owner of a candy pink leather sofa, which I can confirm makes me look TOTALLY gorgeous when sat on it pmsl! I shall add some piccies soon.
So my crafting has taken a very back seat in my life, as I've spent most of my time sourcing fabby lovely things for my new house - who knew you could spend weeks just trying to find silver glitter Mosaic tiles for a cloakroom??
Unfortunately, the downside of all this is that my mojo has taken a serious denting, and I feel well and truly out of the crafting world, I have no idea what's hot and what's not, so I'm hoping that it'll be like riding a bike and that I'll soon get back into it (note to self - must learn to ride bike...)
Right won't bore my one and only reader (Sue!) to tears, and will show a couple of crafty bits I've made. Please be gentle!
My I layout for my ABC of me:
A birthday card for Carol M - also sent a Good Luck version of this to Lise:
And lastly for today a wedding card:
Thanks for looking!

My niece Gracie is 1!
I cannot believe that it is her 1st birthday already! Among the many pink pressies I bought her, including a rocking pink cow lol, I also made her a picture for her room, using all the colours that she has on some recently purchased bunting (I just LOVE bunting!). I bought the 12 x 12 frame in The Range, I think it was about £6, so a bargain really. I painted it with white paint and then sanded it a bit. It was hard to photograph with the glass, so hopefully you will be able to see it ok:
And an order I had for a keepsake box:

Splash!
I can't believe that we have yet another of sunshine!!! What's going on??? Tis gorgeous isn't it? Would love to be sat in my garden enjoying it, but alas, my garden is currently looking like a building site. Our long awaited extension is finally underway. The mess is driving me potty, but I am told it only gets worse. Fab.
Anyway, did this LO of Callum using the photo from the post below. Mmmm, the problem is that I'm not really sure I like it. Can't decide why, maybe it's cos it's already got writing on the paper? I don't flipping know lol! hey ho - tis in the album now.....
And a quick card made in about 10 seconds for Callum's drumming teacher... Hope you are enjoying the sun! xxxx

Best 5 squids I've EVER spent!!!!!
Now my mates know that I am completely and utterly USELESS when it comes to anything technical (I still don't really understand how to use MSN lol!)
So today, I decided to purchase a photoshop tutorial guide from the hugely talented Kirsty Wiseman from her shop www.kirstywiseman.com - I am addicted!!!! and even my first attempt at downloading this was cocked-up due to yours truly. Thankfully Kirsty was able to sort me out!
Ok, so me being VERY slow at these things it has taken me a while to actually "Zyuz" anything (how fab a word is that???!!) but Kirsty's instructions are so fabulously simple (and come complete with piccies of what you should be clicking on your screen!!!) that even I could do it!!!! And these are the 2 piccies I've done tonight.
Firstly one of Callum in the pool at his leaver's party and secondly of Gracie:

See if you can guess which are the before and after shots pmsl.
If you don't already own this - YOU NEED TO!!!!
Can't wait to try the other tutorials tomorrow - tis the best value for money since Asda's 2 for £2 on kit kat senses.......

H is for Home
Finally back on track for my ABC of me (sorry girls!). Sue's and Lise's will be on their blogs asap.
Saw a sketch on Audrey Tan's blog that she has created and I thought it was pretty fabby, so I used it for this (many thanks for the inspiration Audrey!):
The photo is of my back garden decked out with my gorgeous bunting for my mum's 60th birthday party.
Also some teacher's leaving presents:
Callum finished school yesterday, so we are just off to my parents for a BBQ to celebrate the fact that he FINALLY got his SATS results yesterday and got ALL LEVEL 5'S!!!!!!! Shameful boasting moment there - sorry lol - but we are all so VERY proud of my boy!
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine - tis fabby! xxxx
